Ghana to Compete in CAF African Schools Football Championship WAFU-B Qualifiers
Ghana is gearing up to participate in both boys’ and girls’ divisions of the CAF African Schools Football Championship WAFU-B Qualifiers, taking place from November 29 to December 4, 2025, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Hosted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), this championship brings together young football players from schools across West Africa, all competing for a spot in the continental finals.
Competitive Landscape
The WAFU-B Zone includes Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Niger, and the host nation Burkina Faso. This setup promises a competitive tournament.
Past Success and Future Aspirations
Ghana enters this year’s qualifiers with optimism after strong performances in the last edition. The girls’ team won the WAFU-B title and the continental tournament held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, while the boys’ team finished third.
With training and preparations underway, there are high hopes that Ghana will again show strong performance in youth football and qualify for the continental finals.
