Asamoah Gyan, popularly known as “Baby Jet”, is celebrated as Ghana’s leading scorer, having netted 51 goals in 109 matches for the national team. He also holds the distinction of being Africa’s top scorer in FIFA World Cup history, achieving six goals across three tournaments: Germany 2006, South Africa 2010, and Brazil 2014.

Gyan’s club career has been equally impressive, spanning multiple continents. He kicked off his professional journey with Liberty Professionals in Ghana before making a move to Udinese in Italy. Subsequently, he had loan spells with Modena and then played for Rennes in France, as well as Sunderland in the English Premier League.
In addition to his success in Europe, Gyan made a name for himself in Asia and the Middle East, playing for Al Ain and Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates, as well as Shanghai SIPG in China and Kayserispor in Turkey. He concluded his club career with Legon Cities FC in Ghana.
