According to reports from HLN, Beşiktaş is poised to finalize the signing of Genk’s striker Hyun-Gyu Oh for a fee of €15 million. After previously experiencing a failed medical examination which thwarted a transfer to Stuttgart in the Bundesliga last summer, Oh has successfully passed his medical check ahead of his upcoming move to Istanbul. This transfer marks the end of his one-and-a-half-year stint with Genk.

Hyun-Gyu Oh has had a notable performance in the Belgian Pro League this season, leading Genk with six goals. In total, he concludes his tenure at Genk with 22 goals across 73 appearances. His scoring record highlights include 12 goals in his debut season with the club and 10 goals during the current campaign. Before his time at Genk, the forward played for Celtic where he netted 12 goals in 47 matches. Oh began his professional journey in South Korea with Suwon Samsung Bluewings, accumulating 12 goals in 52 games.
