Galliani Clarifies Status Amid AC Milan Speculations
Former AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has refuted claims suggesting he is in discussions regarding a potential return to the club.
The current CEO of Monza has recently been the subject of rumors about a comeback to Milan, where he dedicated more than two decades of his career.
Galliani Responds to Rumors
After witnessing AC Milan’s victory over Bologna last Sunday, Galliani addressed the press, stating: “There is no truth to these rumors. I am a dedicated Milan supporter with 31 years connected to the club. I visited San Siro as a fan to support my beloved team.”
He continued, “That has always been my approach over the years. Together with (Silvio) Berlusconi, we sold Milan in 2017, and now, eight years on, I’ve maintained my presence at Milan’s matches as long as it aligns with Monza’s schedule. It’s not just about showing up once in a while. So, there’s nothing to report, and I say, go Milan!”
Thoughts on Luka Modric
Regarding Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, Galliani expressed admiration: “Modric is a true champion. During the game on Sunday, I was seated next to our coach Gattuso and former AC Milan players such as Ambrosini. I remarked to them that he is a genius, much like Pirlo: he’s one of those players whose skill alone justifies the ticket price.”
