Fenway Sports Group (FSG) is moving forward with its intention to acquire the Spanish LaLiga club Getafe.

FSG, which currently holds ownership of Liverpool, has successfully completed a thorough review of Getafe and is now actively pursuing the purchase of the team.

Current Ownership Situation

Getafe’s existing owner, Ángel Torres, has indicated his plan to step down from his position by 2028, suggesting that a transition in ownership is on the horizon.

FSG and Torres had previously convened in August to discuss the foundations for this significant acquisition, according to reports from TMW.
