Frank Advocates Patience in Spurs January Transfer Strategy; Acknowledges Interest in Semenyo

Tottenham’s Thomas Frank Acknowledges Interest in Semenyo

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has revealed that the club was interested in acquiring Antoine Semenyo prior to his transfer to Manchester City.

Semenyo’s Transfer to City

Semenyo transitioned from Bournemouth to Manchester City earlier this January.

Insights on Transfer Strategy

While discussing their approach during the winter transfer window, Frank shared on Friday, “Our team is dedicated to making strides to enhance our squad, particularly Johan (Lange), Fabio (Paratici), and Vinai (Venkatesham).”

He emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Lewis family to the project, stating, “They are fully invested in our objectives and are willing to do whatever it takes.”

A Candid Admission

Frank candidly remarked, “I will make an exception to my usual policy: it is evident that our club was keen to bring Semenyo on board.”

He added, “We must not become overly fixated on immediate results, especially if it compromises our long-term goals. These are the caliber of players we’re aiming for.”

Continuing, he expressed optimism, saying, “If we don’t achieve our objectives now, we look forward to a fruitful summer, and I am confident we’ll witness substantial progress.”
