Former Metz Goalkeeper Oukidja: Mbappes Poor Sportsmanship Could Have Led to a Clash
Former Teammate Opens Up About Mbappé’s Attitude on the Field
Flodas Interviews Oukidja
In a candid conversation with streamer Flodas from Metz, former player Oukidja shared his unfiltered thoughts about Kylian Mbappé. The two had a contentious encounter while Mbappé was representing PSG.
Oukidja’s Take on Mbappé
Oukidja didn’t hold back while discussing his experiences with the French star.
**”When we are down by one, two, or three goals, he is the first to approach and say, ‘excuse me, my bad.’ But the moment he senses any resistance, or if he’s having a poor performance, he resorts to insults, even telling you to ‘go f* yourself,'” Oukidja disclosed.
He reminisced about a particular game against PSG at Saint-Symphorien back in September 2021. After the team paused the game for an injured player, Mbappé unexpectedly attempted to lob the ball over Oukidja.
“I confronted him, ‘Are you out of your mind? What’s going on?’ His reply was, ‘Shut your mouth, you little player.’ In that moment, I thought, ‘Stay calm, or you’ll end up in trouble and face a red card with all eyes on you.'”
He chose to remain silent while Mbappé and teammate Dylan Bronn exchanged heated words, reflecting on the high stakes of professional football.
An Incident After a Game-Winning Goal
Moreover, Oukidja recounted an instance where Mbappé directed insults at him following a decisive goal by Achraf Hakimi.
Now representing the Algeria national team, Oukidja currently plays for IMT in Serbia.
