Former Leeds Striker Considered for Transfer
Patrick Bamford, the ex-striker for Leeds United, is reportedly in negotiations with Championship side Sheffield United.
Bamford has been without a club since the summer, after playing an important role in Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League last season.
Sheffield United’s Struggles This Season
The Blades have had a poor start to their campaign. They are now 22nd in the league with only 10 points from 15 matches.
Manager Chris Wilder believes that Bamford’s experience could strengthen their attack.
Previous Tensions Resolved
Bamford previously faced criticism for mocking Wilder after Leeds moved ahead of Sheffield United in the promotion race, but he has since contacted the manager to apologise.
Wilder said:
I spoke with Pat yesterday and I have no issues with him. It’s not ideal coming from a fellow professional, but I appreciate his call. We talked for about 20 minutes.
