Ronaldo’s Fabulous 40

No, you’re not dreaming, Cristiano Ronaldo has turned 40! It seems like just yesterday he was an 18-year-old signing for Manchester United. Time flies when you’re scoring goals, right? While he may be claiming the title of the Greatest Of All Time, we’re not entirely convinced. Nonetheless, it’s hard to deny he’s one of the greatest athletes the sport has ever seen.

Newcastle’s Touching Tribute

Over at Newcastle, they paid a moving tribute to former midfielder Cheick Tiote with his son, Rafael, serving as a mascot against Arsenal. Marking the 14th anniversary of his father’s incredible volley that led to a 4-4 draw, the Magpies topped it off with a superb performance, earning a spot in the Carabao Cup final. Now that’s a tribute!

Sparks Fly in Manchester City-Arsenal Rivalry

Meanwhile, the fallout from Arsenal’s 5-1 thrashing of Manchester City has been… interesting, to say the least. Despite some City fans refusing to acknowledge a rivalry, football is all about these heated moments. The Gunners might not have stayed humble, but hey, that’s part of the game!

Nike’s United Pack

Nike is showing their commitment to women’s football with the launch of the Nike United collective. The pack features a fresh purple and ‘volt’ colourway inspired by shattered glass, co-designed by leading footballers Lauren James, Naomi Girma and Sophia Wilson. Go Nike!

Adidas Predator Mania Re-release

Joao Felix Joins Mizuno

Portuguese star Joao Felix is making waves, not just with his loan move from Chelsea to AC Milan, but also with his new deal with Japanese sportswear label Mizuno. Felix has been sporting the iridescent Alpha II Japan speed boot, even scoring a debut goal for AC Milan in them. We’re here for it, Joao!

Ronaldo Statue: Round Two

And, of course, what would a Ronaldo birthday be without a statue? However, the 12ft tall tribute unveiled in New York’s Times Square has raised a few eyebrows. While it’s an improvement on the notorious Madeira Airport statue, there’s still room for improvement.

Neymar Returns to Santos

Over in Brazil, Neymar’s return to Santos is making headlines. After a stint in the Middle East, the Brazilian superstar is back where it all began for him. Welcome home, Neymar!

MEYBA x SFCFC: A Kit to Remember

Finally, Barcelona-based MEYBA has launched a new home kit for San Francisco City FC. With an iron-coloured base and a bold ‘California gold’ stripe, it’s a kit that’s sure to stand out. Well done, MEYBA!
