Discussions Underway After Recent Defeat

Following a loss to Lecce this past weekend, Fiorentina is reportedly engaging in discussions regarding the possible departure of head coach Stefano Pioli. According to TMW, club officials are negotiating a settlement related to his contract.

Current Contract Situation

Having signed a three-year agreement with Fiorentina during the summer, Pioli now finds himself in a precarious position as the team sits in the relegation zone of the Serie A standings. As a result, the club’s management is considering making a coaching change.

However, an initial proposal to compensate Pioli for only the first year of his contract has been turned down by him and his coaching team.

Training Status

As things currently stand, Pioli and his staff are continuing their coaching duties and are scheduled to conduct training on Monday.
