Eastern Region Triumphs over Ashanti Region in Penalty Shootout

Group B Standings

The Eastern Region has secured a significant victory against the reigning champions, the Ashanti Region, emerging victorious 5-4 in a penalty shootout. This win elevates them to the top of Group B, leaving the defending champions in second place with a total of 9 points, just one point shy of the leaders.

In contrast, the Upper West Region remains in search of their first victory in the tournament. Struggling throughout the competition, they currently occupy the bottom spot in the standings with no points to their name.

Group A Update

Meanwhile, in Group A, the Greater Accra Region has maintained an impressive performance, winning all four of their matches and accumulating a perfect 12 points, solidifying their position at the top of the group. Close behind them is the Northern Region, currently holding 9 points.

The Eastern Elite B finds themselves at the bottom of the table, having managed to secure just a single point from a draw against the Volta Region.

The championship match for the second edition of the Elite U15 girls’ tournament is set for Saturday, October 11, 2025, and will take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
