Facundo Buonanotte Signs with Leeds After Early Termination of Chelsea Loan from Brighton
Buonanotte Transfers to Leeds as Chelsea Loan Ends Prematurely
Brighton Midfielder Moves to Leeds
Facundo Buonanotte, a midfielder from Brighton, has officially transferred to Leeds United on loan after his temporary arrangement with Chelsea was terminated.
Limited Playtime at Chelsea
The 21-year-old only made a single appearance in the Premier League while with Chelsea, who had secured his loan from Brighton in September, narrowly beating Leeds to his signature. Although he played a total of eight matches for Chelsea across various competitions, his participation was limited, with his last game being a comprehensive 5-1 victory in the FA Cup over Charlton.
A Versatile Addition for Leeds
Moving to Elland Road, Buonanotte is expected to bring versatility to Leeds’s squad, which characterizes him as a left-footed player capable of operating in multiple positions: centrally behind the striker, on either flank, or in deeper roles.
Career Background
Buonanotte joined Brighton from Rosario Central in 2023 and since then has accumulated 50 appearances for the Seagulls. Last season, he was loaned out to Leicester City, where he showcased his scoring ability with six goals across 35 matches.
