The Polish goalkeeper has re-signed for the upcoming season after previously being released over the summer.

With West Ham lacking an experienced goalkeeper, Fabianski has been brought back to collaborate with Mads Hermansen and Alphonse Areola.
Upon finalizing the agreement, he expressed his joy on the club’s official site: “This is a wonderful surprise for me, honestly, because everything unfolded so quickly. I learned about the entire situation regarding Wes Foderingham’s departure just at the end of last week. So this was quite unexpected for me, and I’m genuinely pleased about it. I’m truly, truly, truly happy to return because this Club holds significant meaning for me as well as the people associated with it. Reuniting with them felt heartwarming and lovely.
“Yes, I’m overjoyed to be back, and I fully comprehend my responsibilities and my role here. I aim to maintain high standards and offer my support. I possess a wealth of experience that I believe can be beneficial. Without a doubt, I will continue to perform as I always have, hopefully at a commendable level, but I recognize that my role has changed significantly.
“I’m here to genuinely assist the team, to support Fonzy and Mads. I understand that, and I am more than willing to do it.”
Fabianski continued, “The main reason I didn’t even contemplate relocating abroad was my family’s situation. I received offers from various teams across Europe and even globally, but I had to firmly decline, as we are comfortably settled here as a family.
“My son is settled here, so that played a significant part in our decision to remain here (in Essex). As a family, we agreed that if I were to continue my football career, it would have to be in this area.
“It’s remarkable how life has its beauty, and I’m so grateful to be back here. Come on you Irons!”
