Barcelona’s Sporting Director, Deco, has dispatched scouts to the U20 World Cup over the last two weeks in a bid to discover promising talents for the future.

Deco is on the lookout for one or two standout players to add to La Masia, the club’s famed youth academy, for the upcoming season.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, there are several unexpected names featured on the list that Deco has asked his scouts to monitor throughout the month-long tournament.

• Leading the list for Barcelona is the highly regarded Pedrinho from Internacional, accompanied by his Brazil teammate, Chelsea striker Deivid Washington.

• Other talents under scrutiny include Gianluca Prestianni, a winger from Benfica hailing from Argentina, and Yuto Ozeki, a young player from Kawasaki Frontale.

• Additionally, Deco is interested in Elyaz Zidane, a defender for Real Betis and the son of the legendary Zinedine Zidane, who is part of the French squad competing in the tournament.
