Appointment of Head Coach

Renowned tactician Nurudeen Ahmed has been appointed as the head coach for Ghana’s U-19 Boys National Team. Currently serving as the head coach of Karela United FC in the Ghana Premier League, Nurudeen will now oversee the technical team as they kick off preparations for upcoming youth competitions.

Coaching Background

Coach Nurudeen is a respected figure in the Ghanaian football community, having led FC Samartex 1996, based in Samraboi, to their first-ever Ghana Premier League championship during the 2023/24 season. His coaching career has included tenures at King Faisal FC and Aduana Stars, where he has built a reputation for nurturing young talents and forming competitive squads.

Support Team

In his new role, Nurudeen will be supported by:

  • Abubakar Adams – Head Coach of PAC Academy, who will serve as the Assistant Coach.
  • Eric Bekoe – Former Ghana Premier League top scorer and ex striker for Asante Kotoko, taking on the position of Athletic Coach.

The technical team is further enhanced by:

  • Eric Gawu – Former striker for Hearts of Oak, King Faisal, and Dreams FC, who will act as Equipment Officer.
  • Stephen Ekow Davies – From PAC Academy, in charge of goalkeepers.
  • Fatawu Mohammed – Appointed as Welfare Officer.

Medical Staff

The medical team will be led by:

  • Dr. Yusif Andani – Serving as Team Doctor.
  • Prince Deku – Taking on the role of Physiotherapist to ensure players’ fitness.
