Chelsea Withdraws from Transfer Pursuit

Reports indicate that Manchester City has become the leading candidate to acquire Bournemouth’s winger Antoine Semenyo, following Chelsea’s decision to halt their interest in the player.

Chelsea had made an inquiry regarding the 25-year-old on the morning of December 23, but shortly thereafter, it was revealed that they were no longer interested in advancing discussions.

Manchester City Enters the Race

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated that Manchester City is actively working to finalize a transfer for Semenyo. Manchester United and Liverpool have also shown interest in the winger.

Bournemouth’s director of football, Hugo Viana, is reportedly engaged in direct negotiations with Manchester City, aiming to reach a resolution as swiftly as possible.

Transfer Terms and Conditions

Semenyo is expected to be available for a fee of £60 million, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons. This financial structure is tied to his release clause and will remain in effect during the opening ten days of the transfer window.
