In a recent appearance on the Phrasenmaeher podcast, Toppmoller shared his affection for Frankfurt, stating, “It’s a dream to be at Frankfurt. It’s simply a fantastic club.” He fondly recalled watching his father coach in the Bundesliga during his teenage years, which forged a deep emotional connection to the team.

He also revealed his long-held admiration for Manchester United, admitting, “As a child, I often played video games favoring one team: Manchester United. It would definitely be a pleasure to manage there someday, as it is an extraordinary club. During my youth, Manchester United, along with Real Madrid, was among the most prominent clubs.”

At 44 years old, Toppmoller is highly regarded in German football. Under his leadership, Eintracht Frankfurt recently achieved a resounding 5-1 victory against Galatasaray in their opening match of the Champions League group stage.
