Echeverri Set for Man City Return as Agent Confirms Recall from Bayer Leverkusen

Claudio Echeverri’s Loan at Bayer Leverkusen Concludes

The representative of Claudio Echeverri has revealed that the young talent’s loan stint at Bayer Leverkusen has come to an end.

Echeverri’s Struggles in Germany

The midfielder, who is under contract with Manchester City, initially moved to Bayer Leverkusen on a loan agreement that spanned the entire season from August. However, the Argentine has had difficulty establishing himself within the team.

Return to Manchester City and Future Plans

Manchester City is set to bring Echeverri back and intends to arrange another loan for him. Agent Enzo Montepaone confirmed the termination of the loan agreement, stating, “The contract with Leverkusen has been formally concluded today.”

Insights from the Agent

Montepaone emphasized, “This decision aligns with what Claudio wants, even though it’s not necessarily Manchester City’s preference. I’ve already arranged discussions with the City management to explore the next steps for Claudio, and I can indicate that he will be continuing his career in Europe.”

In an interview with Bolavip, Montepaone further mentioned the importance of Echeverri’s playing time: “Claudio needs match experience as he aspires to be included in the Argentina national team for the World Cup.”

He also noted Echeverri’s strong connection to River Plate, pointing out, “He has significant emotional ties to River Plate, as it was crucial in his development as both a player and an individual. While he would love to return there, the current situation prevents that from happening, primarily because Manchester City has no intentions of allowing him to move to South America.”
