Sean Dyche has made it clear that he seeks a long-term contract should he consider stepping into the managerial role at Nottingham Forest. The ex-Forest defender, who rose through the academy under the guidance of Brian Clough, has engaged in multiple discussions with the club’s directors.

Following the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou after eight winless matches, Forest is on the hunt for their third manager of the season. Postecoglou had taken over from Nuno Espirito Santo but was unable to turn the team’s fortunes around.

According to the Daily Express, negotiations are currently underway with Dyche, who is likely to bring along former Forest players Ian Woan and Steve Stone as part of his staff. Nonetheless, Dyche has explicitly stated that he does not wish to accept an interim role to navigate the remainder of the season.
