Ghana’s U-17 National Team Starts Player Screening Ahead of Africa Cup
Screening for the Black Starlets
Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh-Ogum is set to initiate a player screening process on Monday aimed at strengthening the Black Starlets team for the upcoming TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Returning to the Tournament
This will mark Ghana’s first appearance in the tournament in eight years, following their runner-up finish at the WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship held in Côte d’Ivoire.
Training and Selection Process
The first group of selected players will report to the Prampram facility on Monday. They will engage in training sessions and play friendly matches over the course of a week. At the conclusion of this period, the most promising players will be chosen to finalize the squad for the tournament.
Upcoming Tournament Details
The next edition of the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations is set to occur in Morocco in April of the following year.

The following individuals have been called to participate in the week-long screening at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
