In a discussion on Radio de la Red, he shared his insights: “It’s a bit unusual over there; that club (Atlético de Madrid) has an odd vibe. When things are going well, they indeed prosper, but seemingly without warning, they suddenly restrain their players.”

Lack of Opportunity for Argentines

Discussing the limited opportunities for players like Julián Álvarez, Thiago Almada, and Nahuel Molina at Atlético, Di Maria remarked, “They tend to fade away. This happens to most of the Argentine players who join. There’s a scarcity of those who consistently maintain starting positions; they just vanish.”
