Deschamps Confirms Mbappes Selection for Upcoming Match

Mbappé Included in France’s Squad for U.S. Friendlies

Kylian Mbappé has been selected to join the French national team for two upcoming friendly matches scheduled to take place in the United States. The fixtures are set for March 26 against Brazil at Gillette Stadium in Boston, followed by a match against Colombia on March 29 at Northwest Stadium in Landover.

Coach’s Assurance Amidst Commercial Commitments

Despite speculation that Mbappé’s participation is primarily to meet commercial obligations, French head coach Didier Deschamps assures that the forward will indeed take the field, despite ongoing concerns regarding his knee.

Deschamps commented, “Once the established protocol was followed, everything proceeded as intended. He was fit enough to participate in the match against Manchester City, where he played for 25 minutes…”

He added, “Mbappé has a significant match this Sunday against Atlético, where he is anticipated to play, although I do not wish to presume on Álvaro Arbeloa’s behalf concerning injury matters—the protocol is being adhered to.”

The coach continued, “I have maintained consistent communication with Kylian. While there was no compulsion to include him, I am aware of the marketing aspects. However, Kylian is Kylian; he possesses a substantial impact, and his desire to be with the team as a player is clear. I will discuss further with him after the derby against Atlético Madrid.”
