NAC Breda Sign Ghana Defender Denis Odoi on Short-Term Deal

NAC Breda have completed the signing of Ghana defender Denis Odoi, bringing him in on a short-term contract to strengthen their squad for the rest of the season.

Odoi, who arrived as a free agent, signed a deal that runs until the season ends, and the club included an option to extend the agreement for an additional year.

He now reunites with fellow Ghana international Kamal Sowah, reviving a partnership last seen during the Black Stars’ 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar.

NAC Breda announced the transfer and explained that Odoi provides immediate defensive support at a time when the club deals with several injuries.

The technical staff highlighted his leadership, versatility and experience, and they expect him to help stabilise the back line during a demanding stretch of the campaign.

Odoi brings extensive European experience to Breda. He represented Club Brugge and Royal Antwerp in Belgium and also played in England with Fulham.

Earlier in his career, he competed for KSC Lokeren, Sint-Truiden and OH Leuven after progressing through the youth setups at Anderlecht, Genk and OH Leuven.

The 37-year-old defender will enter the squad with the expectation of contributing quickly.

Breda want to strengthen their defensive organisation, and they view Odoi as a player who understands high-level football and adapts quickly to new systems.

His presence also gives the younger players an experienced figure who guides the team through critical situations.

Odoi now prepares for his first appearance with the Dutch club as Breda continue their push to improve results and climb the table in the coming weeks.
