Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has clarified that no conclusions have been made regarding the retention of Marcus Rashford. Currently on loan for this season from Manchester United, Rashford’s contract comes with an option for a permanent transfer, which is set at €35-45 million.

Speculation Surrounding Rashford’s Performance

There has been speculation that the England forward has met the criteria to secure a permanent deal with Barcelona. However, Deco has played down these rumors.

“At this moment, it is not the right time to finalize any decision concerning Rashford’s future,” he stated in an interview with Cadena SER.

Positive Contributions to the Team

“We are pleased with his performance. He has been a valuable asset to the squad,” Deco remarked, referring to Rashford’s involvement in Barcelona’s recent victory against Atletico Madrid, where he performed notably. “We still have time to make a decision about him.”

So far, Rashford has made a significant impact at Barcelona, contributing six goals and nine assists in 19 appearances.
