Cueta Details Christantus Uche’s Transfer to Crystal Palace
Cueta has clarified the circumstances surrounding Christantus Uche’s transfer to Crystal Palace.
The Nigerian midfielder made a move from Getafe to Palace at the conclusion of the summer transfer window, with Cueta poised to receive a share of any future transfer fee.
Loan with Option to Buy
Cueta’s president, Luhay Hamido, has provided insight into the arrangement, emphasizing that Uche’s transfer is structured as an initial loan, with a potential permanent move contingent on specific conditions.
According to Hamido, Cueta is entitled to 12.5% of the €19 million fee agreed upon. In his remarks to Club Deportivo, he stated, “The payment for Uche has not yet been processed. He needs to start in ten matches for the deal to be finalized; otherwise, he will return to Getafe.”
“If he achieves those ten starts, the loan will turn into a compulsory transfer, and the corresponding financial percentage will be included in the first chapter of the salary cap.”
“We might be able to utilize him before the winter transfer window.”
