Crystal Palace Receives Significant Injury Relief Ahead of Crucial Larnaca Showdown

Key Player Absences as Eagles Aim for Conference League Quarter-Finals in Cyprus

Injury Update on Munoz and Henderson

Right-back Daniel Munoz has not featured for Crystal Palace since their 3-1 victory over Tottenham in the Premier League on March 5. He was substituted just 14 minutes into the match due to a shoulder injury sustained during a challenging fall after colliding with Spurs defender Souza.

However, the team will also be missing their key first-choice goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, who is remaining in London due to illness. He was also absent during the match against Leeds.

Goalkeeping Situation

In Henderson’s absence, deputy goalkeeper Walter Benitez is slated to take over in goal for the upcoming match in Larnaca.

Coach’s Remarks

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner provided updates during the pre-match press conference on Wednesday. He stated, “Daniel Munoz is fit to play. Unfortunately, Dean Henderson is still not well, so we have decided he will remain in London. Overall, the situation is positive as we have no additional injuries.”

Other Injury Concerns

Striker Eddie Nketiah will likely not return from his hamstring injury, which has sidelined him since December, until after the international break. Additionally, midfielder Cheick Doucoure is still working on regaining his match fitness after dealing with a long-term knee injury.
