Coventry City striker Brandon Thomas-Asante has been called up as a late addition to the Ghana national team for their upcoming World Cup qualifying matches.
The 26-year-old will take the place of Inaki Williams, who sustained an injury during a match for Athletic Bilbao against Mallorca in La Liga over the weekend.
Thomas-Asante scored twice for Coventry in their recent 5-0 victory against Sheffield Wednesday, propelling the Sky Blues to the top of the Championship table. He has previously made four appearances for the senior Ghana team.
Ghana will compete against the Central African Republic and Comoros, aiming to secure four points to ensure their qualification for the next World Cup finals in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
