Marc Guiu Critiques Barcelona’s Hansi Flick

Chelsea forward Marc Guiu has expressed discontent with Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick.

Guiu made the decision to leave Barcelona for Chelsea last year after his contract expired.

Rejoining the Spain U21 squad this week, Guiu shared his thoughts during an interview with TV3: “To be honest, I could have had more playing time, but it was apparent that the club had different ambitions. With (Robert) Lewandowski already in the team and the recent acquisition of Vitor Roque, it was evident that I wasn’t in their plans.”

Guiu remarked that the transition from Xavi to Flick as head coach did not work in his favor.

He added, “The only interaction I had with Hansi Flick was when he wished me well. I would have appreciated a more personal approach from the coach, but that never happened. It became clear to me that the situation wasn’t favorable and I chose to move on.”
