Celtic and Rangers Set to Welcome Roma in Europa League

Celtic and Rangers will both play host to Roma as part of the Europa League, a result of the draw that took place on Friday.
Rangers have drawn two clubs from Portugal, making plans for an away match against Porto and a home game against Braga.
Meanwhile, Celtic’s schedule includes matches against Feyenoord and Bologna, alongside a second encounter with Braga in Glasgow.
Other Fixtures
The rivals from the Old Firm will also compete against Sturm Graz; Celtic will host the match, while Rangers will travel to Austria.
Aberdeen will participate in the Conference League, facing Shakhtar Donetsk, Sparta Prague, Strasbourg, and AEK Athens across their six matches.
Confirmed fixture dates are anticipated over the weekend.
Progression Format
The top eight teams in both competitions will advance directly to the round of 16, whereas the next 16 will enter playoffs to determine the remaining eight spots.
Previous Campaigns
Both clubs from Glasgow started their journey in the Champions League qualifiers. Celtic experienced a setback against Kairat in the playoff stage, while Rangers were eliminated by Club Brugge after overcoming Panathinaikos and Viktoria Plzen.
Rangers reached the Europa League final in 2022 and made it to the quarter-finals last season, where they were defeated by Athletic Bilbao.
Celtic’s prior appearance in UEFA’s secondary tournament occurred in the 2021-22 season, where they finished behind Bayer Leverkusen and Real Betis in their group.
The Scottish Cup winners, Aberdeen, exited the Europa League qualifying phase following a loss to FCSB of Bucharest.
