FC Masar produced a commanding display to thrash 15 de Agosto 5–0 on Matchday 3 of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

After several missed chances, Yassmin Zezo finally broke the deadlock in the 41st minute to hand Masar a deserved lead before halftime.

The team returned from the break with even greater intensity, and in the 56th minute, Nigerian striker Alice Ogebe doubled the advantage with a cool finish.

Midfielder Hasnath Ubamba added a third in the 72nd minute to kill off any hopes of a comeback, before Zezo grabbed her brace in the 86th minute.

Substitute Hala Moustafa completed the demolition deep into stoppage time to seal an emphatic victory.

The win moves Masar to the top of Group A, giving them a huge confidence boost ahead of their final group match against USFAS on Saturday.

In the group’s other fixture, Moroccan giants AS FAR continued their form with a 2–0 win over USFAS Bamako.

Zineb Redouani converted a penalty on the stroke of halftime to give AS FAR the lead, and Hajar Said wrapped things up with a late strike in the 90th minute.

AS FAR’s victory keeps them firmly in contention for a spot in the knockout rounds, while USFAS will need to regroup quickly as they face FC Masar next.
