The lineup for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League second qualifying round is complete following the conclusion of the preliminary stage over the weekend.
Burundian champions Aigle Noir C.S will face record holders Al Ahly of Egypt in one of the standout fixtures.
Aigle Noir advanced on away goals after a 1-1 aggregate draw with ASAS of Djibouti and will host the first leg at the renovated National Stadium in Bujumbura next month.
Tanzanian giants Simba SC will battle Nsingizini Hotspurs of Eswatini, who eliminated Zimbabwe’s Simba Bhora 3-0 on aggregate. Simba SC secured their place with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Botswana’s Gaborone United.
Ugandan champions Vipers SC will meet Zambia’s Power Dynamos, who edged past ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast on penalties following a 1-1 draw over two legs.
The second-round ties of the CAF Champions League will kick off on October 17, 2025, as clubs across Africa chase a coveted spot in the group stage of the continent’s premier club competition.
