The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the nominees for this year’s CAF Awards, honouring the continent’s standout performers across men’s football.
The 2025 shortlist features Africa’s biggest names. These are players who have excelled between 6 January and 15 October 2025, both for club and country.
Cameroon midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah lead the pack after impressive seasons with Napoli and Liverpool respectively.
Victor Osimhen, who made a high-profile move to Galatasaray, also earns a deserved nomination following his consistent scoring form.
Fiston Mayele of DR Congo is another strong contender. He inspired Pyramids FC to the CAF Champions League title with his prolific goal scoring.
Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi (PSG) and Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye (Everton) are also among the ten shortlisted players.
This year’s edition of the CAF Awards also features six additional categories celebrating coaches, clubs and national teams that have left their mark on African football.
