Bundesliga Team Poised for Major Summer Windfall with £100m Transfer Gains

VfB Stuttgart’s Promising Season

Things are looking bright for VfB Stuttgart. They are currently positioned fourth in the league, eyeing a spot in the Champions League, have reached the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal, and continue their campaign in the Europa League. Is there a chance for more success?

Interest from Top Clubs

Indeed, there is potential for even greater achievements. Several high-profile clubs are prepared to invest significantly in two of Stuttgart’s talents. Both Ramon Hendriks and Finn Jeltsch have become highly sought after.

Ramon Hendriks: A Rising Star

Hendriks made his way to Stuttgart in the summer of 2024 for a mere 750,000 euros and quickly became a key player. In the winter, Premier League team Nottingham Forest reportedly proposed 40 million euros for the Dutch defender.

Reports from ‘Sky’ suggest that Stuttgart is willing to consider transfer discussions with interested clubs this summer, beginning with that figure for Hendriks. However, the scenario is somewhat different for Finn Jeltsch.

Finn Jeltsch: High Demands

According to ‘Bild’, Stuttgart’s leadership will only take Jeltsch’s departure seriously if an offer of at least 50 million euros comes in. Since moving from 1. FC Nürnberg, Jeltsch has seen a rapid rise in his career. Recently, he has been linked to elite clubs like FC Bayern Munich, Liverpool FC, and Arsenal FC. But is it feasible for him to transfer?

From Stuttgart’s viewpoint, retaining Jeltsch seems like a sound strategy at this time. The former Nürnberg player has a contract that runs until 2030, and he can still contribute significantly to the team. Furthermore, he may be worth even more in the future.

Previous Player Departures

Stuttgart faced a similar situation last summer with Nick Woltemade, whom they tried to keep. Ultimately, they were unable to resist when Newcastle United offered 75 million euros, but they have managed to cope well with his absence.

Your Thoughts?

What do you believe: Will Stuttgart part ways with one of these players this summer—or possibly both?
