Among the participants from the Bundesliga, nine players registered goals throughout the group stage; however, the only player from Germany in the selected best team is Edmond Tapsoba of Burkina Faso. The Bayer Leverkusen defender began his tournament journey impressively, scoring a crucial goal that secured his team’s last-minute victory against Equatorial Guinea.

At 26 years old, Tapsoba has also contributed significantly by playing the full 90 minutes in his team’s matches against Algeria and Sudan. His next challenge will be to defend against Yan Dimoande and Bazoumana Touré, as Burkina Faso prepares to face Côte d’Ivoire in the last match of the Round of 16 on Tuesday.
