Bayern to Secure Bundesliga Title Early, Claims Kroos
Bayern’s Dominance This Season
Bayern Munich has kicked off the current Bundesliga season with impressive form, achieving six consecutive victories and boasting a remarkable goal difference of +22. This has positioned them four points ahead of their nearest rival, Borussia Dortmund. With this strong start, former midfielder Toni Kroos believes Bayern should easily claim the championship this year, potentially setting a new record for the earliest title win.
Kroos’s Predictions
Kroos, who previously played for Real Madrid, has expressed confidence that Bayern could formalize their championship status earlier than ever, attributing this to a lack of formidable rivals.
“During my playing days, I found it frustrating when others predicted our victory for the season, as matches still had to be played. However, I believe that Bayern will clinch the title by March or at the latest, April. I understand players might not want to hear these bold claims, but the situation is clear this season. Their lead is significant, and teams like Leverkusen are struggling greatly. Dortmund and Leipzig lack the consistency required to pose a serious threat in the long run,” Kroos shared during an episode of the Einfach mal Luppen podcast.
A Historical Context
It is worth noting that Bayern Munich previously secured the Bundesliga title very early in the 2014 season, doing so on March 25, with seven matches still left to play in the season.
