Commitment to Manchester United Remains Strong

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has made it clear that he isn’t looking to leave the club this January.

Recently, there were rumors suggesting that Fernandes might be reconsidering his position at Old Trafford after the firing of the head coach Ruben Amorim.

Following the coach’s dismissal, Fernandes had a discussion with Carlos Fernandes, one of Amorim’s assistants, which raised concerns among fans that the 31-year-old midfielder could be seeking an exit.

Nonetheless, sources close to the situation indicate that despite the recent turbulence, including Darren Fletcher stepping in as interim coach for two matches and Michael Carrick taking over the role for the remainder of the season, Fernandes remains dedicated to the club.

Seasonal Reassessment Planned

Fernandes has always intended to evaluate his situation in the summer when he will have just one year remaining on his contract.

He famously declined a substantial offer from Al-Hilal last summer, and despite ongoing interest from the Saudi Pro League, it appears that if he does decide to leave Manchester United in the future, his preference would be to remain in Europe.

The former Sporting Lisbon player expressed that he was “hurt” to learn that Manchester United was willing to let him go and felt that club executives lacked the courage to communicate this decision directly to him, particularly considering Amorim’s desire for him to stay.
