Boca Juniors Intensifies Pursuit of Roma Star Dybala

Boca Juniors near agreement with Paulo Dybala

Boca Juniors is making progress toward securing AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala.

Dybala set to depart Europe

The 32-year-old Argentine forward is approaching the end of his contract at the conclusion of the season.

Returning to his roots

According to TyC Sports, Dybala is prepared to exit Europe and return to Argentina this summer to join Boca Juniors. His close friend, Leandro Paredes, is already on Boca’s roster, and Paredes’ father has indicated that the player is keen on seeing Dybala make the switch.

Words from Paredes’ father

“I overheard Leandro chatting with Paulo, and he mentioned that he would be coming. Paulo will play for Boca. His daughter is going to become a Boca supporter and will watch her father at La Bombonera,” Daniel Paredes shared with Cadena Xeneize on November 11.

Dybala had previously expressed interest in returning to Argentina to team up with Paredes.

Dybala on returning home

“Is a return to Argentina a possibility? Yes, I’ve never played in the first division there, and it’s a consideration for me. Although I’m unsure if it will actually happen. Leandro pressures me daily to join Boca Juniors with him, so yes, I am contemplating returning to Argentina,” Dybala stated in an interview with journalist Gastón Edul back in May.

“I am leaving the door open. It would be delightful. But at the moment, I just don’t know,” he added.
