Black Stars Arrive in Meknes for World Cup Qualifier
Team’s Preparation in Casablanca
The Black Stars have reached Meknes ahead of their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic. The squad had initially been training in Casablanca since Sunday, but they relocated to Meknes once all 24 selected players were present.
Training Sessions Held
While in Casablanca, the team conducted two practice sessions at the Mohammed V Sports Complex. The Black Stars are scheduled to hold another training session at Stade D’Honneur de Meknes at 16:00 GMT on Tuesday, October 7, prior to their match against the Central African Republic on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Qualification Status
The Black Stars aspire to secure a fifth appearance at the World Cup and are currently leading Group I with 19 points, having only two matches remaining in the qualifying series.
