Black Princesses Begin Preparations for WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup

Head coach Charles Sampson has called up 26 players to start training in Accra on Friday, October 24, 2025. This marks the beginning of the Black Princesses’ preparations for the forthcoming WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup in Benin.

The tournament is set to run from November 3 to November 10, 2025, and will showcase some of the most talented young female footballers from across West Africa.

As the reigning champions, the Black Princesses aim to defend the title they secured in Kumasi two years ago. Ghana claimed victory in the inaugural tournament, defeating fierce rivals Nigeria in a dramatic penalty shootout after the final ended in a draw.

The upcoming camping session in Accra plays a crucial role in the team’s preparation, as Coach Sampson and his technical staff work on enhancing tactics, fitness levels, and team cohesion ahead of their trip to Cotonou.
