He added, “During that time, I was unable to walk or even perform basic tasks without assistance. It was a challenging month and a half.”

Bernal also mentioned advice he received from Gavi, “He had warned me that the initial phase would be difficult, but reassured me that eventually, on the field, while running and practicing with the ball, I would feel capable again.”
