Karim Benzema has expressed that the possibility of his former Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, taking over as the coach of the French national team has sparked a glimmer of hope for his own return to Les Bleus.
In an interview with AS, Benzema shared:
Zidane has all the necessary qualities. He demonstrated his prowess at Real Madrid. Although there’s a different coach currently, I still believe Zidane is the top choice.
The national team feels a bit distant right now, but one can never be sure. My priority remains on my current situation.
Focused on the Saudi Pro League
Benzema emphasized his enthusiasm for competing in the Saudi Pro League, stating:
I signed with the club after winning the Ballon d’Or that season. This wasn’t meant to signal the end of my career; my desire is to keep playing and enjoying football. I feel incredibly happy here.
He praised the supporters and his teammates, remarking:

He further noted:
Saudi Arabia is in need of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, myself, and others who can impart some of the European football experience.
