Bayern Munich's Young Forward Moritz Göttlicher (17) Attracts Interest from Two Bundesliga Clubs

Sky Germany – as reported by transfermarkt.de – indicates that FC Augsburg and 1. FSV Mainz 05 are keen on signing the promising German forward Moritz Göttlicher from FC Bayern Munich. The 17-year-old talent could be gearing up for a transition to the Bundesliga next season. Currently, Göttlicher is playing for Bayern’s U19 squad, where he has netted four goals and provided two assists in just seven matches this season.

Although Göttlicher has yet to appear for Bayern’s reserve team, it’s worth noting that current German star Lennart Karl also had no experience in the reserves before the current season. Both players were part of Bayern’s U17 squad that impressively won all 14 games in the 2024/25 UEFA Youth League. Göttlicher particularly shone by contributing 11 assists during the group stage and adding another five assists in the knockout rounds.

Sky further reports that Bayern is looking to secure an extension with the young player, but Göttlicher is interested in exploring opportunities elsewhere. With his contract set to expire at the conclusion of this season, he is eligible to negotiate a transfer to another club at no cost once the January window opens.
