Bayern Munich’s Intentions for Manuel Neuer’s Future
Eberl Confirms Plans for Goalkeeper
Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has conveyed the club’s desire for Manuel Neuer to continue playing in the upcoming season.
Neuer’s Future Under Discussion
There are rumors circulating that Neuer, who will celebrate his 40th birthday in March, might consider retiring following Germany’s World Cup journey this summer.
However, Eberl has reassured fans that discussions are underway to secure Neuer’s future with the team for next season and potentially beyond.
Eberl stated, “Manu will reach 40 in March. His current form is remarkable. We plan to sit down, have conversations, and share thoughts with him.”
“Eventually, there will be a moment when his body may not keep up with the demands of professional football, but that is not the case for Manu at this point. We are quite relaxed about it. We will engage in discussions towards the end of the season, around April or May, to evaluate how things are progressing.”
“At this moment, he is performing at an exceptionally high level.”
Neuer has had an illustrious career with Bayern Munich, making 584 appearances and securing two Champions League titles along with 12 Bundesliga championships.
