Bayern Munich Chief Discusses Interest in Vuskovic
Bayern Munich’s Interest in Luka Vuskovic
Insights from CEO Max Eberl
Bayern Munich’s Chief Executive Officer, Max Eberl, recently discussed the club’s rumored interest in Luka Vuskovic, who is currently on loan from Tottenham to Hamburg.
The 18-year-old defender has made significant strides since transferring to Bundesliga club Hamburg last summer.
Recent Performance
Vuskovic demonstrated his talent by scoring the equalizer in Hamburg’s recent match against Bayern Munich, which ended in a 2-2 draw. His impressive performances have reportedly caught the attention of Bayern.
Eberl’s Response to Speculation
Despite the speculation surrounding Vuskovic, Eberl emphasized that Bayern’s priority is to secure an extension for Dayot Upamecano’s contract before pursuing other players.
“First, we have to sort our own internal transfers,” he stated.
He acknowledged Vuskovic’s talents, indicating,
“Once that’s done, we’ll have a high-quality centre-back. That doesn’t mean Vuskovic isn’t a good player. He’s having an outstanding season.”
Eberl also highlighted that Vuskovic remains under contract with Tottenham Hotspur and that Bayern already boasts a strong lineup of defenders, including Jonathan Tah, Upamecano, and Kim Min-jae.
“We can’t sign every good player that the public thinks should be at FC Bayern,” Eberl added.
He concluded by reiterating that while Vuskovic is indeed a talented player, the club’s main focus is on handling internal transfers, which is a well-understood aspect of their strategy.
