Barcelonas Deco Criticizes Dro and His Representatives: No Blame on PSG
Dro’s Transfer from Barcelona to PSG
The Deal
This week, the 18-year-old player left Barcelona to join Paris Saint-Germain after his representatives alerted Deco about Dro’s intent to exercise his €6 million release clause.
In the end, PSG agreed to pay €8.5 million to secure the midfielder, a move intended to ease existing tensions with Barcelona.
Deco’s Perspective
Deco shared his thoughts with TNT Brasil, stating: “If Dro continues on this path of rushing decisions, it could have negative consequences for him in the long run.”
“At times, the influence of those surrounding him is not beneficial. This choice was made independently by the player; PSG did not sway him.”
He further added, “There is some disappointment because (coach Hansi) Flick had just given him his first-team debut after including him in the preseason. He has always supported him.”
“His exit is not disastrous; he is simply another player who contributed to the first-team environment.”
