Barcelona to Monitor Robert Lewandowskis Situation as Contract Nears Expiration
Lewandowski’s Impact at Barcelona
A Stellar Achievement
Since joining Barcelona in 2022 from Bayern Munich, the 37-year-old striker has made an impressive mark, netting 113 goals in 174 appearances.
Contract Situation
Despite his exceptional performance, Lewandowski’s substantial salary has led to Barcelona not yet extending his contract, which is set to conclude at the season’s end.
Coach’s Perspective
Ahead of Barcelona’s La Liga match against Mallorca on Saturday, coach Flick emphasized that no decision regarding Lewandowski’s future has been finalized.
“What I feel now is that we’ve spoken several times. He shouldn’t be thinking about next season; he needs to focus on this one,” he stated.
Flick added, “He’s doing a good job; sometimes he wants to play more, in important matches, 90 minutes, but it can’t always be like that. He loves playing for Barca; we’ll see what happens at the end of the season. We don’t know what might happen. It’s not the time to talk about this. We have stability, and we want to maintain it in the future. There will be time.”
