Arteta Reveals Early Strategies for Quintero Twins at Arsenal

Arsenal Welcomes Quintero Twins to the Team

Signing Details

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed enthusiasm over the acquisition of the Quintero twins this week, who have joined from Independiente del Valle.

The duo, Edwin and Holger Quintero, both aged 16, are set to relocate to north London in August 2027 upon reaching the age of 18. They are Ecuadorian U17 national team representatives, with Edwin playing as a winger and Holger positioned in midfield.

Arteta’s Perspective

Arteta shared his thoughts on the signing, stating, “I genuinely see this as a very promising step for our club. It highlights our ability to attract the finest talent available.”

He added, “Of course, there are regulations and restrictions in the league regarding the use of players under a certain age, which presents its own set of challenges. However, we view this situation as a beneficial opportunity. If we can get ahead in our recruiting efforts, that’s definitely a positive aspect.”

The manager emphasized, “Our primary goal is to nurture and develop our homegrown talent, but this doesn’t close the door on any potential talents we might find elsewhere. This applies to both players and coaches.”
