Real Betis winger Antony has disclosed that his fellow Brazilian, Matheus Cunha, expressed a desire for him to remain at Manchester United.

In a conversation with AS, Antony stated, “Matheus Cunha encouraged me to continue my journey there with him, but the circumstances were already quite challenging.” He went on to express his fondness for Cunha.

Antony continued, “I didn’t have much dialogue with Ruben Amorim; our interactions were limited. His decision to have me train separately was understandable, and I needed to respect it.”

“I’m feeling good now. I dedicated myself to training diligently, even while I was distant from the team,” he added. “After three months, I was able to complete 90 minutes on the field, and that achievement reflects my commitment during that time.”
