Andre Onana Joins Trabzonspor on Loan from Manchester United
Loan Move Officially Confirmed
Andre Onana has made the switch to Turkish club Trabzonspor on a loan agreement from Premier League team Manchester United.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper saw his role diminish under manager Ruben Amorim due to a series of underwhelming performances while at Manchester United.
Circumstances Surrounding the Transfer
Due to Onana’s struggles, Manchester United decided to recruit Senne Lammens from Belgian club Royal Antwerp on the last day of the transfer window, prompting Onana to seek a new opportunity elsewhere.
Onana’s loan move to Trabzonspor is set for the 2025-26 season, where he stands to significantly increase his earnings through performance-related bonuses.
It has been reported that Manchester United will not charge a loan fee for the Cameroonian goalkeeper, and the deal does not include any future purchase option or obligation.
