Andre Onana Shines In Turkish Derby Heroics For Trabzonspor

Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana produced a masterclass between the sticks as Trabzonspor held Galatasaray to a goalless draw in a heated Turkish Super Lig encounter on Saturday.

On loan from Manchester United, Onana was at his commanding best, pulling off a string of decisive saves to deny the hosts, including a stunning late stop that kept Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates at bay.

His heroics earned him the Man of the Match award and reaffirmed his reputation as one of Africa’s finest goalkeepers.

Fans of the Black Sea Storm have quickly taken to calling him “The Wall”, a nickname that reflects his revived form and growing influence since his move to Turkey.

Despite playing much of the game with ten men, Trabzonspor stood firm, thanks in large part to Andre Onana leadership and composure.

The result keeps the club in contention for a European qualification spot, while Galatasaray remain top of the standings but with their lead slightly dented.

Trabzonspor sit second on the table with 24 points.
